Community and Cultural Impact Specialist for the Nebraska Community Foundation, Becky is dedicated to supporting, strengthening, and contributing to initiatives that help unleash abundance throughout the NCF network. Becky brings creativity and a strong sense of co-creation to her work, with special emphasis on areas ranging from people attraction and arts-based development to youth engagement and belonging. As the staff lead for Hometown Interns, Becky delights in intertwining her deep love for Greater Nebraska with her profound belief in the goodness of young Nebraskans and their unique ability to help their hometowns achieve their dreams.
Before joining the staff, Becky dedicated five years to consulting alongside NCF, where she collaborated on projects such as arts and cultural asset mapping and The Dream Switch. Becky has over 12 years of experience as an instructor at multiple Nebraska universities and is an award-winning playwright. She currently has two original works in production, both of which are supported by National Endowment for the Arts.
Gilley is the Executive Director of O’side Kitchen Collaborative and founder of Feeding the Soul Foundation. This year she was selected as the 36th District Woman Of The Year for 2021 by CA Senator Patricia Bates.
An experienced executive manager and urban development expert with over 20 years of experience. She has authored over 500 successful grant proposals totaling over $680 million and has significant experience in grant writing and administration, particularly for municipalities and non-profits. Sonia is skilled in various areas including economic development, public and business administration, project management, technical writing, governmental accounting, financial management, urban planning, and more.
Her career highlights include roles with the California State Legislature, City Manager, and Community Development Director, where she led budget management, streamlined permitting processes, and spearheaded community development projects. She is also pursuing a Public Leadership Credential and a Master of Public Administration degree from the Harvard Kennedy School. Committed to community betterment, she leverages her diverse skills to foster sustainable growth and enhance community well-being.
As Director of Peer Learning at the Community Foundation of Nebraska, Anders trains, coaches, mentors, and supports volunteers and staff to implement educational content throughout NCF’s network of more than 270 affiliated communities.
He previously worked for NCF as an affiliated fund development coordinator for communities in northeast and north central Nebraska. Prior to rejoining NCF, Anders worked as a loan officer for First Northeast Bank of Nebraska in Tekamah and a graduate teaching assistant at the UNL College of Business. He has also been an active member (and currently serves as co-chair) of Connecting Young Nebraskans, an affiliated fund of Nebraska Community Foundation.
Anders grew up on a farm outside of Tekamah where his family’s business sold new and used farm equipment. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for his bachelor’s degree in agribusiness and master’s degree in business administration.

Deb is a coach, facilitator, trainer, and connector, primarily working with local institutions (e.g., museums, libraries, foundations, agencies) who are discovering how to shift their work with communities to an asset-based approach. She was a member of the founding board of the ABCD Institute, located at DePaul University in Chicago IL, and the co-founder/lead host of ABCD in Action, the original online ABCD community of practice, connecting people from over 75 countries. Deb is especially passionate about rural communities and is currently enjoying semi-retirement as a member of a small island community in Wisconsin, along with her spouse, Steve Kretzmann, and their wild rescue puppy, Louie.
